A score and a recording of it go in. A video comes out with every note in time, including the places the player slowed down. No tapping, no page marks, no timeline.
Drop your score and your recordingor
Your files never leave your computer. The video is made here, in this tab.
In short
To sync sheet music to audio, drop a score (PDF, MusicXML, MIDI or Guitar Pro) and a recording (MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4 or MOV) on this page. The notes line up by themselves, rubato included. Pick a look and export an MP4. The first minute is free with a small mark.
What people make with it
A score video from a concert recording
The real performance, with the score following it.
Your cover, with the notes on it
A phone video and the file you played from.
A recording for your students
They see the bar you are on as they listen.
What makes a sync come out well
Bring the score the player actually played from. If the take repeats a section the file does not, or skips one, that is handled, and it says so.
A clear recording of a solo instrument is the easiest case, and a band or a noisy room works too. Choosing the part you can hear best helps.
Check the result in the player here. If a bar needs a nudge, the studio lists anything worth a second look and lets you move it by hand.
A two-minute recording took about 40 seconds on our test computer, and the page shows how far along it is. It runs in your browser, so there is no queue.
That is fine. It finds where the music starts, and the talking stays out of the way.
Yes, and we publish how we measure it: see the research page on sync accuracy.
Up to a minute of video at full quality, in any shape and any look on this page, with a small moving SheetVideo mark. You choose which minute. Your first one needs no account; after that a free account keeps them coming, as many as you like.
SheetVideo Pro exports the full length with no watermark. Your files and your look carry over, so the video is there when you come back from checkout.
No. The score, the recording and the finished video stay on your computer. All of it happens in this browser tab.
Yes. Free or Pro, the videos are yours to use commercially, as long as you have the rights to the music and the recording.
