Guitar Pro to PDF free

Open a Guitar Pro file and get its notation and tab as clean pages you can print or save as a PDF. No Guitar Pro licence needed.

Drop your Guitar Pro file hereor

Your file never leaves your computer. It is converted here, in this tab.

In short

SheetVideo engraves Guitar Pro files (.gp, .gpx, .gp5, .gp4, .gp3) as notation with tab underneath, ready to print or save as a PDF from the browser's print dialog. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded: there is no server on the other end that sees it.

What comes across
  1. Notation and tab together, the tab under each line of music
  2. The part you want: a band file starts with its first guitar part, and any others can be added
  3. The title and the tuning at the top
  4. Bar numbers on every line
What does not, and why
  1. Guitar Pro’s own page layout: the pages are engraved again
  2. Lyrics and chord diagrams

Printing a tab without Guitar Pro

A Guitar Pro file from a friend or a tab site is no use on a music stand unless you own Guitar Pro. Here it is engraved again from the notes in the file: notation on top, tab below, the tuning written at the start.

Press Save as PDF and the browser’s print dialog opens with the pages ready. Choose “Save as PDF” as the printer to keep a file, or print it straight away.

The file is read in your browser and never uploaded: there is no server on the other end that sees it.

Questions

Why these tools are free

They are pieces of SheetVideo

SheetVideo puts sheet music and tab on videos of people playing, lined up with the recording by listening to it. To do that it has to read every score format there is, and write them out again. These pages are those readers and writers, opened up. The video is the part that is paid, and only for full-length exports without the small mark.
